LETS MOVE FORWARD TOGETHER

Hearing is not always listening, I will be the one to listen

I believe our community needs a Commissioner  that will support the ideas of the public, fight for the needs that are not being met and above all, earn your respect.  I believe there is a great fight to be won here, and we are all worth that fight.

Serving The Community

Oakland County is my home, serving my community is serving my family.

Reducing Landfill Waste

· Increase education

Recycling companies

There is a need for better transparency on what is being recycled and more advertising of what can and cannot be put into our recycling facilities.

· Increase recycling

Public recycling containers

Just having glass and plastic recycling vessels in public areas would help our recycling efforts immensely.

· Implement more Recycling Programs

Guidelines from Emmet County: Using their high-tech recycling program has been very lucrative for them. They even have a way to recycle plastic bags. This program is pending at the state level, but why wait?

Bettering The Disabled Community

· Workforce Power

Awareness

Educate the corporate world on various technologies available to accommodate the disabled community, as there is a lot of waisted talent out there because of the lack of knowledge.

· American Disability Act

Stronger Standard Enforcement

New and old public buildings need to be accessible for all. There needs to be unmistakable criterium executed, while acknowledging the disabled community.

· Oakland County Disability Committee

Committee to be formed

This body would solely help the disabled community with advocation, education, grant development and assistance in resource navigation

Mental health

· Advocate the normality

Join forces

The need for more focus on mental health in our community is a high priority. Joining forces with emergency responders, educators, and mental health organizations for better understanding of our community needs and how to best implement the changes needed.

·  Increase Support

Boost emotional wellness in “your community”

Positive mental health is needed everywhere, home, school, your place of worship, extracurricular activities, and work. If you think of each of these entities as “communities” it makes the help that is needed in those areas more tangible.

· Make a better connection

How we help each other together

Success depends on drawing attention to the programs that are readily available, making help for mental health easy to access and the process easier for those in need. We need to eliminate the gap between the ones who need the resources and the resources themselves.

United By A Common Goal

I believe there is great value in being connected.  That's why I am running for Commissioner of District 5, I plan to make a difference one connection at a time.
